A riveting account of how neoliberalism/libertarianism squared a number of ideological circles to arrive more or less directly at what we now call the "Alt Right" or "New Right." Slobodian's writing is clear and to the point, if a bit denser than in Crack-Up Capitalism. Having read Hayek's Bastards, I now have a much better understanding of how libertarians seemingly automatically become IQ-fanatics and vice versa, as well as the origin of these ideas' intertwinement. ...more
