I took a class on Marx, and we spent most of the time studying Capital Vol 1. Many reviewers have already summarized this text, offered insight, and expressed concerns and criticisms. I will just say two things: This book should be read by everyone - Marx's analysis of Capitalism is just tremendous, and is still extremely relevant. This book probably has had the greatest impact on civilization in the past 2000 years: no other philosopher in history, aside from the big 3 of Antiquity, come close

Well what can I say? Absolutely stunning when you read the original text, the precise analysis, the time travel back into a brutal time AND (most importantly!) the absolute RELEVANCE of this text to our EVERYDAY TODAY in 2023!
God, I wish all these peeps calling themselves Marxists on Twitter or what not would actually effin READ THIS THING!
And BY GOD: I hope Jordan Peterson and Elon and other man-babies NEVER read it coz they will identify with the baddies and see it as an instruction manual ; ...more
