My new favorite. LOVE IT.
This is a richly told tale of a family displaced by the Israel-Palestine conflict. It gives you a broad overview of the events in the region, while drawing you into the everyday lives of an ordinary, well-to-do family of Palestinian origin. Each chapter is interesting, gorgeous, relatable and heartbreaking. My favorite character has to be Alia :)
