okay, i will try not to compare this book to the girl on the train, but unfortunately people always do that whenever they read the next book an author releases. aside from them both books being suspenseful who-done-it type of murder mysteries, there is also a strong amount of cheating partners as a major component of the storylines in both books. into the water was a quick easy read. it was decently suspenseful and held my interest for the most part enough to make me want to keep reading it, but

Not as good as The girl on the Train.
The plot was interesting but the way it was told was too confusing. A lot of characters but even that could have been ok with a better narration.
But, I was impressed with how different it was from her first book. Most authors try to stick to a formula esp when the first book is a bit hit. I admire Hawkins for writing something completely different. If I did not know who the author was, I would have never guessed that it was written by the same person who wro ...more
