I enjoyed this book more than I expected to. I listened to the audiobook and maybe that made the experience different than reading it. I enjoyed the accents and the dialects. Reading all these reviews made me feel like people think whites should just not talk about race. People seem to think whites are either racists or have a white savior complex. So they are to blame whether no matter what. Some readers were upset that Skeeter had a happy ending but the maids did not. But isnt that more realis
