This was a great book. At first I wasn't certain I could follow the back and forth of the entire book being correspondence, but it was easy once I got engaged. I favor World War II as a subject matter so the occupation of a Channel Island was really intriguing. The author soon won me over by creating a web of details and characters that became addictive.
