Excellent crime procedural set in Boston featuring detectives Rizzoli and Moore. Rizzoli is a brash, slightly combative woman constantly defending her right to her place in the Boston detective squad while Moore is a polite, quiet officer committed to always doing the right thing.
Both find themselves making mistakes and making headway in the search for the identity of a fairly creepy killer— the Surgeon.

Great book, and hope to read the series, though I did wonder where Isles was. I know she doesn't appear til the next book, and I'm trying to get this from the library.

This book kept me engaged, and I didn't want to stop reading. I was pulled in from the beginning and will be continuing the series.
