Shelves: read-in-2008

Waugh takes aim at the Bright Young Things of the roaring twenties. I found it a bit odd - more over-the-top than, say, "A Handful of Dust", but not nearly as funny. Waugh is not as funny as he would like to be, and the ending is neither satisfying nor convincing.

OTOH you can read it in an afternoon. A month later you will remember nothing. ...more
