The true story of a Norwegian commando who is saved from the Nazis. I read it in one sitting because the story was so compelling.

I read this a dozen years ago. I thought it was an extraordinary account of a harrowing journey across Norway to the safety of neutral Sweden. Were it not for the help of many individuals who risked their own lives to assist this British trained Norwegian commando he would not have been rescued. What he endured physically was unbelievable, and the risks taken by the simple farmers and fishermen to help him finally reach safety will renew your respect for human kindness.
