If you have ever read any of Carl Hiassen's books, you know that they are quirky mysteries including commentary on current events and the environment. This one has the death of a Palm Beach socialite and one of a group called the POTUS Pussies (couldn't mean the real life Trumpettes, could he?) Skink, the crazy ex-governor of Florida, might be expected to appear. There were about 100 pages to finish before Skink made an appearance, but this book was still fantastic. I don't know how Hiaasen keeps all his threads from getting tangled, but he certainly uses them to weave a "what will he think of next?" story.

I really enjoyed this one. No one is better than Carl Hiaasen when it comes to writing how wonderful and totally bonkers and upsetting Florida is. And it skewers Trump. What could be better?

Hiaasen makes me laugh out loud. Loved the constant jabs at the mango maniac.
