That's it- I'm done with Jane Austen. I've tried. I have now read two of her books, and that is enough of my time wasted. I don't understand what the big deal is- I just find her novels so unbelievably boring. I apologize to those of you who love her work, but it really really is not for me. I really did try my best, and right now I'm just patting myself on the back for finally finishing this little book after starting it a dozen times. Love her if you want; she just is not for me.

It was a pretty boring period of time for me, back in Berlin after Christmas before anyone else. But good boring, at l

I enjoyed this but I did find Anne to be too good and patient and passive a heroine. My favorite Austen is still Sense and Sensibility, though again, that may be due to the fact that I have a huge crush on Alan Rickman's Colonel Brandon!
