What Members Thought
Intriguing characters, a magical story, and I found myself racing to finish it despite its density.
Wow! The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars is because it is so long and so dense...it's wonderful but it's one you really have to be dedicated to read. I typically read 6 or 7 books per month, this one took over 2 months to read. I almost gave up with only 50 pages to go. That said Rushdie is a genious and this book is divine. Read it if you have the will to make it through.

I found this to be much better and more readable than the Satanic Verses.
