It's taken me a couple of days to put my thoughts together on this one. In some ways I really loved this book. As a story I thought it was great. Lothaire is an entertaining, crazy, larger than life figure and this world is one that I love and after 11 books am completely invested in. And here we're tossed onto the other side of the Lore with Lothaire, the Enemy of Old.

I really liked this one, a lot. I can see why some did not like it. But I just didn't have a problem with any of the things others did. I finished it in two sittings once I got myself to sit down and commit to it. Many scoffed at the extra pages and details. As someone that read the version of The Stand that included 400 extra pages that were cut from the manuscript and was GLAD for it, I loved that this book was longer.
