3 stars because it's too short. It seems like they try to stretch it by increase the margin, the technique I really hate.
We got to no more about Tanith's past in this book. I'm still not sure she trained in a Necromancer temple or not. There's a mention of the surge but nothing else. The McGuffins of the books are sure to make another appearance in Book 8 or 9.
My personal quib with this book is the coupling! Yes, it made sense. Yes, it's kinda romantic in a creepy way. But Landy killed my hope ...more
