The book was good. Not great but good. I think I like the movie better although the book brought depth to the characters that the movie did not.
If not for the title that peaks your interest, or for the humor and undeniably great insight on what it would be like to work for a debutante of the fashion world, this book held my interest from beginning to end. If you are looking for a deep literary read, this is definitely not for you. This is a light, funny read that I, quite frankly, could not put down. Having no knowledge of fashion, designers, or New York City for that matter, I felt like I had an education on the fast paced, cut throat

I did not like the bad language in the book. I quit reading it. I liked the movie better!

I read this on a flight to South Carolina and was definitely entertained by it. It's definitely an over the top view of the fashion world but it's a lot of fun.
