Once again, I am completely blown away by Pfeffer’s captivating continuation of The Last Survivors series. This installment introduces the Morales family of New York City, giving the apocalyptic tale a new angle. We go through the initial onset of the disaster for a second time, but Pfeffer keeps it new and exciting. I enjoyed this book as much as, or maybe a bit more than, the first book in the series, Life as We Knew It. The set-up is the same: an asteroid has knocked the moon closer to earth, and the increased gravitational pull causes changes leading to massive devastation. As a citizen of Bangkok under the threat of impending worst-flood-in-something-years, what should I read?

An apocalyptic novel where the moon got hit so hard the gravity pull change and all the climate ran amok, of course! Flooded metropolis! Food shortage! Flu outbreak! Weeeeeee!

Final Verdict,

Susan Elizabeth Pfeffer, you do know how to scare me. The writ

I could go with 3.5 stars if I could. I enjoyed this book, but I have to say I liked the first one better. The struggles were the same for Miranda and Alex, but how they dealt with the death and limited food supplies were different based on their location. It was interesting to note the similarities and differences.
