This is good book. I felt that the end was a bit rushed, but I really liked it up until then. It was really interesting and it made me think and go back and forth on my views pretty much the whole time I read it.

Maybe this book was unfairly tainted by the way that I got it. A coworker heard me say that I had read something else by this author and brought the book in for me to read. I kind of hate when this happens because then I feel like I have to read the book even if I don't really want to. In any event, I liked learning about Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), but otherwise found the book to be a complete soap opera. I didn't really connect with the characters and find the Picoult format pretty pushy--Lo ...more

As much as I enjoy the style of writing of Jodi Picoult, this book was a great disappointment. The story line reminded me a lot of “My Sister’s Keeper” but with a difference illness and less sympathetic characters. I didn’t feel connected to any of the characters and most of them came across as shallow and selfish. I found the ending of the book completely pointless.

Entertaining light read, perfect for travelling. As usual with Picoult, she has chosen an issue to work with, this time a disabled child and a lawsuit. Beware the recipes, most of them contain corn syrup!

Read this while on vacation in Florida. Like most Picoult books, this one kept me reading. I did not want to put it down. There were parts of the story that bothered me and I was infuriated by the ending but all in all, i still enjoyed the ride.

WARNING: not for the faint hearted.
Picoult brings tears and makes you question everything yet again, with characters who don't know where to turn any more than you would, flawed and beautiful in their humanity.

I was violently opposed to the objective of the main character and the means she used to achieve the end. That being said it was a fast paced and engaging novel. Typical Picoult.

Aaaaarrrgggghhhh! That's all I have to say :)

Except, maybe: a few too many coincidences to get the point across.
