The problem with Show No Mercy is that the conflict was set up in a previous book (belonging to another series) so there was a lot of rehashing. And when I said a lot, I mean A LOT. The main characters met in the previous book, the conflict was started in the previous book so this felt like a (not very well done) part 2. I would never have thought to mix action/suspense and romance...but that is exactly what this book was and it was awesome! The action is completely over the top in the same way actions movies are and it just worked. Throw in good looking men with the super-human, military trained skills and amazing bodies and you've got me hooked. The romance worked, but didn't overwhelm the story. I am really looking forward to reading more books in this series.
