I also have a harder time writing a review for a book that is very well known and has had a lot written about it over the years. What could I have to say that would in any way add to what others have said? Especially when I just keep wanting to say things like "I loved this book!" "It's awesome, amazing, mysterious, and frustrating!" "Everybody should read this book!" and "Why didn't

I have to idea why I waited so long to read (well listen) to this. Sooooo good.
I saw this movie back in junior high I think. My parents put us all through an Alfred Hitchcock phase, Vertigo, Rear Window, The Man Who Knew Too Much, (hmm...maybe it was a Jimmy Stewart phase) and this one was included but I either fell asleep or just totally forgot the ending because I was totally surprised when I finished the book. I didn't love Rebecca, in fact there was a lot about the story and the plot that I really hated; however, I have some much to say about it, and I think sometimes the fact that a book can inspire that speaks more to its credit to whether you liked it or not.
I hated the book and the characters for the first two thirds, and probably would have walked away from it had a not been listening in my car. My problem was largely with the narrator, who is so sniveling and spineless, that the author doesn't ...more

The narrator for this book did an excellent job conveying the unnamed narrator's voice. I only listened to the first two-thirds; then cassette 9 of 11 of my library copy was broken, so I didn't hear the end of the book (I read it in print instead). A very enjoyable story.
