What a dud.
I’ve been a great fan of this series ever since I read the first book, almost 7 years ago. In fact, this series is the reason why I got into the paranormal genre (I was never a fan of Twlight.) From the beginning, I loved the combination of impossible love stories with plots full of action and incredible twists. ALL of that was missing in this book.
Allegiance of Honor was completely unnecessary, a book without plot and no main couple. Instead, we’re treated to almost 500 pages of dail ...more

Nalini Singh is one of my absolute favorite authors and this series has brought me many hours of enjoyment. Unfortunately, this installment is very disappointing.
It is clear from the narrative that this is a linking book. There is no real plot to speak of, and much of the book is dedicated to reacquainting readers with past pairings. In fact, it is primarily a recap of the first 14 books in the series. This would be fantastic for new readers unfamiliar with the world o ...more

This isn't a romance so much as a love letter to families. Families of blood and families of the heart that come together. And quite frankly after the news of this week, and the horrible campaign season, reading this book was like a warm hug and I really needed it. It was like catching up with friends who you may not see all the time but always drop right into closeness with. We get to revisit a lot of the couples from the series and see their HEA. I think this series has the most extensive worl

A nice way to finish off the first arc and for us to catch up on some of our favourite characters. I enjoyed this storyline and the start of the new story arc. I can't wait for the next in this series!
