What Members Thought

A highly amusing and entertaining look at various famous characters from history giving a unique insight into their lives and exploits. Cuppy manages to combine historical fact with a humour and dry wit that will having you laughing out loud and reading passages to anybody who happens to be sitting nearby. This is how history books should be written, would definitely have made my history lessons a hell of a lot more entertaining to say the least.

This book was published in 1950 after the authors death. The humorous chapters tell what really happened to all those people you had to learn about in history. The footnotes are particularly funny. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in historical figures.
