I downgraded this book to 2 stars in the last chapter. Before that, I enjoyed it but I cannot hold with the way things ended.
You see, if there's something I HATE, are control freaks who think they know what's best for others and don't listen to what they have to say. First book I started/ finished for 2018. Thought it was going to be Ready Player One, but had more time to listen then actually read.

The thing I enjoyed most about the first book in this series was Charley's conversations with dead people and how those conversations helped her to solve crimes. And I had really hoped that that was where the series would go, so I was a little disappointed with this book. There was a crime and there were a few brief conversations with ghosts, but this book was more about Reyes and the troublesome relationship between the two of them. Charley Davidson is a PI working in Albuquerque and she also happens to be the grim reaper. She doesn't kill people, the dead pass through her to get to heaven. Charley is involved with finding her best friend/receptionists Cookie's missing friend Mimi. She's also trying to find Reyes, the son of Satan's, physical body before he's killed by demons.
