I downgraded this book to 2 stars in the last chapter. Before that, I enjoyed it but I cannot hold with the way things ended.

You see, if there's something I HATE, are control freaks who think they know what's best for others and don't listen to what they have to say. I cannot respect a person who forces her will and basically enslaves a person "for their own good" without having a clue what's going on. The thing I enjoyed most about the first book in this series was Charley's conversations with dead people and how those conversations helped her to solve crimes. And I had really hoped that that was where the series would go, so I was a little disappointed with this book. There was a crime and there were a few brief conversations with ghosts, but this book was more about Reyes and the troublesome relationship between the two of them.
