This book was such a pleasure to read! I found myself relaxing and just enjoying the read. I was never in a hurry or anxious to get to the end, just let myself get lost in the writing and these wonderful characters. I don't even know how to describe this book except to say I felt every feeling that Clara did. I shared her joy, laughter and sorrow and it's been a while since a book could evoke such strong feelings from me.

This book made me cry.
I was really surprised by how much I liked Unearthly and I was surprised again when I enjoyed this book as much as the first. I often do not like the second book in the series as much as the first book in the series. I have found that the second book often wraps up the big events of the first book and sets up for the third book. Don't get me wrong this book does that... but there is more to the book than that.

I loved it! Unearthly sucked me in completely, and Hallowed just kept dragging me along. I loved some of the new developments that came about and even suspected a few of them. There’s not much I can say without revealing spoilers. I will say that I couldn’t put this book down, and found myself crying with an aching heart during some parts. Amazing.
