Another 5 star effort. And a cliffhanger to boot! An excellent second book in the trilogy. Thank goodness I have someone who will lend me the third and final piece next week. I only wish there would be more novels. What a loss to the literature community.

Mikael Blomkvist and Millenium magazine are workign on a expose of the sex trade in Sweden. Then the main source of information and his girlfriend ar murdered and Lisbeth salander is suspected of the crime. It took a little while for the book to pick up but I really liike the two main characters.

Wow! Such a great read! Larsson creates a multilayered story with intriguing characters and makes it all work beautifully. Very similar in style and plotline to the first of this trilogy. Didn't feel like the characters really developed any further than in the first novel. Have a better understanding of Salander (which is to be expected, right?).

Obviously there are loose ends to tie up in the third installment, though I'm not sure at all where the story will go. This one had waay more sex than I was comfortable with (particularly since I've been handing my Larsson books off to my dad when I'm done).

OMG - Following the twists and turns in this story almost took a map. When I finished, I had to go get the next book, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, so I could continue with the story. Lisbeth Salander proves that size is not a deterant if you have the right moves. ...more
