So, I loooooved the Lux series and so I wanted to read more from the author and I have to take into account that I may have had too high of hopes for this one.
Here is the deal though... It was a good story. My biggest gripe with it is that so much of the plot and story reminded me of Vampire Academy. I got sidetracked a lot, comparing the two books. This book almost read as fan fiction to me. If I had not read Vampire Academy first, I think I could have come up with another star for it... but u ...more

Review to come. But this book is the epitome of why I have come to really dislike the YA genre. Main female (Alex) is beyond frustrating. She is cocky beyond reason, flippant, rude to people in positions of authority. I had no positive thoughts about her. Longer review to come.
