I don't know what my deal is with the last two Sookie books. I keep feeling like I've missed something and I keep needing to go back and re-read stuff. I'm not sure if it's just my pregnant brain or if there is something different about Harris' writing.

This book was a real page turner for me from the very beginning, making it really hard to put down. Sookie is on her way to the Vampire Summit with the Queen of Louisiana. There is to be a trial for the Queen regarding the murder of the King of Kentucky, and Sookie’s telepathic abilities are needed to find out who is trying to set up the Queen and take over her weakened territory after hurricane Katrina hit.

More brain candyfloss. Great stuff, though as another reviewer said, the high sugar content just leaves you as hungry for more when you've finished it. Read on Kindle for PC while flying home to NZ.

As a fan of this series, I have to say that this is one of the better ones. Not award winning literature but these are great for quick, fun, entertaining reads.
I keep gobbling these up and this one is no different.
