"Alice in Wonderland" started off interesting enough for me, but by the time I got to be a quarter of the way into "Through the looking glass" I was feeling bored and done with it all. I found the lack of actual purpose and story a little frustrating. I love the idea that it's taking place in a dream and the fact that items from her every day life have a place in her dream, but what is her purpose in this dream, her goal? Though I know this story, I don't know that I had ever actually read the book as a child. It was whimsical and the random capitalization made reading the book an adventure in itself. I don't know that this is a favorite story of mine, but a fun read all the same.

Read this as a kid and then again for "Psych of Dreams" in college. The professor's take was that the book was one long lucid dream that Carroll recorded. Definitely a different take on a childhood classic.
