I think more like 3.5 - It took me a little while I get into it (around 50pgs I was debating putting it aside...but glad I stuck it out)
This was cute, if a little simplistic. I didn't think it was super written, and parts got a little silly, but on the whole a heartfelt portrayal of an Asian-American experience. I especially appreciate the complexity that Mei's parents got. Mostly fluffy, but does still deal with some tough topics.
