Wow such a wonderful coming-of-age tale. When Esperanza lost her beloved Papa and all their worldly belongings, she and her mother had to escape from her uncle's greedy clutches. In doing so, she left the way of life she's ever known and learnt many hard (and some very embarrassing) lessons. However, with their faithful and supportive friends around her, Esperanza grew and became stronger than ever.
