Ronnie is a seventeen year old from New York. But she won't be spending her summer after senior year with her New York friends. Her mom is sending Ronnie and her little brother, Jonah, down to a North Carolina beach town to spend time with their father.

Here's the problem for Ronnie...she's been upset with Steve (her dad) since he walked out on the family. Steve left New York after his marriage ended.

Ronnie never forgave Steve for what happened. Actually, she hasn't talked to him in the three yea

Ronnie is a wild New York teenager who is sent to North Carolina to spend the summer with her father whom she hasn’t seen or spoken to in three years. She never got over the fact that he left the family and she holds it against him which makes it difficult for her father to repair their relationship. I loved this book. With all Nicholas Sparks books you will need a kleenex, but it will be so worth the cry. The characters in this book touched me and reminded me of me at Ronnie's age (minus the rebellion) and I enjoyed watching her grow and learn about herself. This book kind of reminded me of a Sarah Dessen book. ...more
