I found myself getting a little annoyed with parts of this book but in the end I wound up really enjoying it. It's the story of a death row inmate who wants to donate his heart to the sister of his victim. As usual Picoult raises some pretty heavy moral issues and definitely makes you think.

Jodi always knows how to make me cry. Even though I figured out the twist from the very beginning, I enjoyed this read. I seem to keep reading religious themes these days, even though I'm really not religious.
The death penalty was an interesting topic for me. I remember writing an essay on cruel and unusual punishment in high school and centering on the death penalty. This was quite a different angle as I never thought that death might be what the prisoner wants the most. ...more

Like all of Picoult's book, this one really made me think about what I would do in such a horrible situation. I liked all of the characters and felt their pain.
The ending was a bit hokey but not enough to aggravate. I also felt that Shay was a little to close in character to John Coffey (sp?) from "The Green Mile". ...more

I liked this. It was a lot of Religion but it was done in a good way. I did have the Twist figured out fairly early, but it didn't take a way from the book. If you liked Keeping Faith you will like this one.
