I really enjoyed this installment of the In Death Series. It was fairly typical for the series, and it was a good one. A murder in this one ties back to an old case where a large number of women were killed. Due to that, Eve has extra resolve to solve the case and bring the killer down. Of course, there are ties back to Roarke's businesses, so he uses his expertise to help solve the case.

I really liked this one. They way the case came together was awesome. I felt for Feeny in this one because it had to be hard. But I'm glad they got the bastard in the end.

Somebody is kidnapping and torturing women and writing the time they lasted on their body. This is similar to a case Eve was involved in many years ago. Unfortunately they are picking women all involved with Roarke so he's taking this very personally. Peabody and Ian are so funny like usual in this book. Although they seem to be annoying Eve a bit less. On to the next book.

All my favorite characters are here again in this book - Lieutenant Dallas and her husband Roarke and their surrounding cast of friends -- though Mavis, Peabody, Somerset, Mira, and the rest had much smaller roles in this book than they do in some. This book was primarily Dallas against the bad guy. But, as always, it was a good, absorbing read.
