Lindsay Boxer is out for a jog when she witnesses a bombing and rushes into the house to try to save anyone who may have survived the blast. It soon turns out the bombing was the first of a string of terrorist attacks. I found this to be better than the second book in the series. Less rah rah girl talk and more suspense. The book also contains a really shocking event that threw me for a loop.

He's really lost it. Maybe he didn't even have it to begin with. But Patterson's books are getting annoying. The flimsy plot, the too-short chapters... Even the death of one of the members of the Women's Murder Club didn't even register that much. A one-hour read. That is, if you've got nothing better to do [I was procrastinating over an essay so I had an excuse :-P ]. ...more

Just fine. It seems like Patterson writes almost like a screenplay--like he knows someone was going to make a TV show out of it. Book ends just like the final scene in a movie.

All in all, decent book. He's a bit harsh. No fluff in a Patterson novel. He needs to say something, he just does, doesn't mince words, doesn't try to give a lengthy description.

This was a good book. I liked that it didn't have the typical Patterson red herring in it. We didn't fully know who everyone was and who was connected until the end. That being said I didn't like the ending to the mystery, but loved the ending of the book. ...more

Another not great but still kind of entertaining book in the Women's Murder Club books. Totally forgettable once it's over but it kept me reading. ...more
