If you like chick-lit, then you'll love this book! It's about a woman named Rachel who sleeps with her best friend's fiance. Her best friend's name is Darcy and she never suspects a thing! At first, Rachel brushes it off as a one-night stand but eventually she starts to realize that she really loves this guy and they end up having an affair. Throughout the book, she struggles with the moral dilemna of being with a guy who makes her happy and losing her friendship with Darcy. This novel was fun t ...more

I won this in a Goodreads Giveaway and I loved it. I cannot believe that I have never read any of her books before. I loved the story, the heroine, and especially the ending. I think I usually stay away from the chick lit (especially if it is set in NYC) because it is usually about name brands and sometimes even petty problems, but I loved this storyline and I could relate to the main character. I will definitely be picking up the next book Something Blue. ...more

This book started of really good. It is very witty and well written, but I ended up skimming the whole second half of the book because I got bored. The bulk of this book is about the main characters having an affair and saying it is justified because the bride is a selfish b****. I just didn't understand why the groom didn't just break off the wedding once the one night oops became a full on affair. The main character and groom are as unlikable as the bride that they keep bashing. Calling someon ...more

I'd give it an extra half star if I could, but I couldn't bring myself to give it the full 4 stars.

It's not something I would typically find myself reading, but I enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next one. I like her style.

That was a quick read! And I'm about to start the second one. However, I don't much like Darcy so I'm not sure how much I'll like the second book. She was a horrible character in this book and I didn't feel the slightest bit sorry for her. ...more

This story of two life long best friends was fairly predictable, but a quick and easy summer read. One friend was the out-going, type who insisted on being center stage, while the other was quieter and stood in the shadows, wishing for her own spotlight. Of course through the years the compete as girls do, ultimately for the same man.

Some of parts of the book made me want to slap both Rachel and Darcy, but as all good books do, this one actually made you think a bit about some of the friendship

I don't usually read or like chicklit books, but I found this book really enjoyable. The lead was sufficiently smart and funny that I totally wanted to root for her and enjoyed the tale. The ending was a little too cute for me, but overall, I'm glad someone recommended this book to me. I'll probably pick up the next book in the series at some point. ...more

I loved this book. Probably my favorite of the "chick-lit" genre. I related so much to the main character of the book, that I couldn't help but root for her, even if she was doing "wrong". From the first page I was hooked, and I couldn't put it down till I finished. ...more

I couldn't put this book down! I just loved it. Although I like to think that I would never do the things Rachel did, I must say that I totally connected with her thinking. I love when I feel like a book is inside my head!! ...more

Loved loved loved this book. A very easy read. I felt like I was a part of their group and I really could not put it down. I know that it could be a real situation somewhere. I rooted for both main characters.
