What Members Thought

WOAH! I didn't really expect to like this book very much. A very amazing ending, indeed. More of my thoughts later.
***UPDATE!!!***
Something Blue is the sequel to Something Borrowed which I read a few days ago. In my post about Something Borrowed, I said that I am reserving my final judgment on it after I’m done with its sequel. I am glad I waited as I’ve said because I was actually caught by surprise. I did not expect that I will like these two books this much.

I liked this one better than its prequel "Something Borrowed." It was fun to read how self-centered Darcy was, how she dealt with the fallout of her own actions and missteps, and just to see what happened to the SB characters. How Darcy justifies her decisions and choices is funny and actually suspenseful. I kept wondering how she would get herself out of the mess she had gotten herself into. While her former BFF Rachel has always been "the good girl" to Darcy's self-centered, shallow, everythin

This book was light, but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I recall enjoying Something Borrowed. Maybe it's a matter of reading the right book at the right moment. But this one fell flat for me. The transformation here was too fast, too painless, too stark. There was no emotional connection to this character. Everything was too neat and tidy. Perhaps I just have a much easier time identifying with the Rachel character and thus was able to read that as light fantasy. In any event, this book has

I still hate Darcy. It's hard to believe that she could change so much so quickly. I did shed a few tears over the letter that Rachel wrote her. All in all, it was a good story and was a great sequel. However, I still hate Darcy. :)

I liked hearing Darcy's side, but it was harder to get into than Something Borrowed. I am glad she redeemed herself in the end, but I have to say I liked Rachel better as a main character.

This book showed what happened in Something borrowed from Darcy's point of view. She then leaves town and decides to start her life over. This book showed how one person can grow to be a great person just by experiencing motherhood. This book made me really root for Darcy even though in Something borrowed and at the beginning of Something blue I did not like her. This is a great read.

I finally finished a book after having the baby-it feels like a huge accomplishment!
This is the follow up to [book:Something Borrowed} and it picks up with Darcy's story. I wasn't sure that I wanted to read this since I didn't like Darcy all that much after the first book but Giffen does a nice job of turning her into a likeable character and creating an entertaining story. ...more
