OMG, this book was just so much fun. I've been leaning towards escapism lately and this one fit the bill nicely. It did take a little bit to warm up but once the plot really got in motion it never dragged again. Julius and Marci are so great. I love that he's a failure as a dragon because he's basically a great guy. I love the Marci is actually more ruthless and "dragonlike" and that comes a across a few different ways and times. The world building is fairly interesting but the rest of the writing is basically a single layer cake of writing.
This one started out as a 3 star book, but as the author got to know the characters better, the dialog got better. If you like this book, you may also want to try The Generation V series.
