This one has been on my TBR forever. I enjoyed thrillers and Baldacci is well known for them but I guess, on the surface, this sounds too much like The Professional; not my kind of movie but hubby's favourite so I was introduced to it early in the relationship. However, it turned out to be rather different. At least, in plot... because Will Robie may be a killer but apparently, there's a higher motive behind it all. I seem to enjoy all Baldacci's work. This series introduces Will Robie, an assassin who works for some mysterious part of the U.S. government. The innocent named in the title is Julie, a runaway teenager whose life and troubles become intertwined with Robie's own. It's an interesting story, and a good introduction to a protagonist I'm sure I'll enjoy continuing to read about. ...more
