Um, boring? It's not meant to have a story in it as it is supposed to be Harry Potter's text book but still, I never saw the point of reading it but, I did it nonetheless. It is a reference book of magical creatures - mostly made up like the Diriclaw, Hippogriffs, etc but mythical creatures as unicorns, Kelpie (ie. Loch Ness Monster) was also included with some magical explanation as to why Muggles have not seen them as they are. There were doodles on the side which were supposedly by Harry, Ron

I have reread this book a few times, but this version of the book and the reading by Eddie Redmayne makes the experience that little bit more immersive and enjoyable.
The original version of the book, pre-movie, is quite straightforward. It was set like school textbook and, as most school textbooks, was not the most fun to read.
