Malcolm Kershaw, who owns a mystery bookstore, once wrote a blog for the store listing eight perfect murders in books. Malcolm is approached by FBI agent Gwen who thinks someone is now trying to perform these murders in real life. It soon becomes apparent that whoever is doing this knows Malcolm. I had my eye on this book even before it made it into Anne Bogel's summer reading guide. So I was really looking forward to it. And while I won't say that I was disappointed, it definitely didn't live up to my expectations. I liked the premise, but not so much the execution. The ending left me unsatisfied. It reads fast and definitely had some high points, but it's certainly not the best thriller I've read this year.
