This would have been a 4-star review but for a couple of things:
1. It still pisses me off that this whole series is a rip-off of Nalini Singh's Rock Hard series
2. The dozens and dozens of proofreading mistakes! For goodness sake - get a proper proofreader Kristen! This was littered with errors - so much so it nearly became a DNF. It was the worst book I've read for a very long time for mistakes (including the whopping continuity error in the middle). Awful. The person credited with proofreading ...more

So, I was expecting this one to be heavy. With everything that Jax went through, I knew there were going to be some hard issues addressed this one.
But, I wasn't expecting the laughter and the levity with watching Jax fall in love! The way that Jax and Stella met...hilarious. And Scottie with his son...too adorable.
Really I just enjoyed this one from beginning to end. Even when Jax totally f*ed up with Stella, I felt it so deep down, I couldn't even be mad at him.

This book was very good. I liked the slow burn. What I didn’t like were all the grammar mistakes. Kills a book.
