What Members Thought

This one...started off a little weak to me. I love these books (it's easily my favorite urban fantasy series), so I was awaiting its release pretty eagerly -- it's not often I pre-order books, afterall. I was so ready to jump back in, but this one was kind of a slow burner. I did end up liking it, as always, but there were some things that left me feeling a little let down.

I love this series, but this wasn't one of my favorites. I was excited when I started reading about Stefan because I miss his banter with Mercy, but that was short lived. I also missed the pack. This book felt like one of those bridge books in a series, a way to describe Mercy's history. Still a good, well thought out book, just missing some of the key elements that make me love the Mercy series. ...more

This wasn't the most exciting of Mercy's books but I really liked that we got to learn more about her and her ancestry and that the plot was more about her and Adam without the distractions of the pack and everybody else. I also really liked Coyote and hope to see more of him in future books. ...more
