This book is very readable. The characters are very likable.
They felt like people i would want to be friends with. My biggest problems with the book lie with small things. I found the sex scenes on the cringier side. Tbh i cringed each time he “entered her”. Overall, an entertaining read and although it was a take on domestic violence, it did not feel too dark. It did a nice job humanizing the victims while not totally demonizing the aggressor.

Compulsively readable and emotionally powerful (or, maybe manipulative, depending on your perspective). This is my first Colleen Hoover book. I suddenly realized there was this tremendously popular author who had written a whole bunch of books and I'd somehow read none of them. Reviews suggested this was a good book to start with, so I downloaded the audio from my library.
