5 stars for a Rom-Com. Hazel is a bit of a manic pixie dreamgirl but this was still delightfully escapist, perfect for the beach. Or the couch while your kids complain about remote learning.

It's not my typical type of book, but I like to read things I don't normally read. Sometimes I find something marvelous, and well, sometimes not. I enjoyed this book while I was reading, it was funny and engaging, but midway I just couldn't keep going. It was hard to endure their stupidity. I know it's kind of the point of the book, but it just became completely unenjoyable. I guess it was a little too fluffy for me.
