Another book featuring Miss Marple where her appearance is really only a cameo in the closing chapters. Anonymous letters and murder are the name of the game along with plenty of romance. I love Christie's plotting and solutions but there are many better than this

Like Agatha Christie herself, I consider this book one of my favorites among all the ones she wrote. I can't say why I like it without giving a spoiler but in my opinion, the solution for this mystery was simply brilliant.

Barely any Marple, but still a great story. Moral of the story, there's at least one crazed murderer in each and every small British village. Every cop should just have Jane Marple on his speed dial.

Nice. Last time I read a story the narrator dunnit. This time fortunately, the characters I liked were all spared.

Hmmm, a Christie that I didn't actually like. Richard E. Grant does a great job with the audiobook but this one just didn't engage me. I'm usually a sucker for the young couple romance in Christie's books but I found this one a little skeevy.
