I don't think I've read anything else by Hemingway, but I don't see what the big deal is.
This was a good story about an old man's 4 day (I think) struggle on the open sea.
The best part was how Hemingway portrayed the Old Man and his struggles. He always tried to stay focused on the solution to his problems, and only adressed problems he could solve. He spent no time worrying about things he had no control over. And it was obvious that over his long life the Old Man had learned this strategy to ...more
