I was intrigued because this book was published posthumously. think that if you were a Dickens fan you may like it. I have never really considered myself a fan and have only read A Christmas Carol and I liked parts of it... I did think that he did a good job making John Jasper into a creepy and convincing villain.
My biggest issue was that I did not like the pacing (which could be because he planned on writing more... I am not sure).

OK...I did know that Charles Dickens had not finished this book...but wow! Just when I was getting interested into how it would all be resolved, it just stopped! Talk about a cliff-hanger.
I had difficulty at first figuring out who was who and how they all related to each other, so initially it was a slug. But, then...the murder occurred...or did it? And, each of the characters seemed to be affected...and then a couple of new mysterious ones were introduced...and pow! It was over.

this is essentially unreadable - unlike anything else written by Dickens. I have better things to do with my time
