One of the first chapter books that I've read aloud to Akiva. We enjoyed this one over the course of almost three months of intermittent bedtime story reading. I found the accented speech of some of the characters too hard for him (at age 4), so I edited some of it as we were reading. There were just enough illustrations to give him something to look forward to in each chapter and he and I both loved the idea of little people living in the walls and floors of the house.
