The Restorer has the worst interrupted love scene I've ever seen in a book. YIKES!
But I'm getting ahead of myself. This book was simply marvelous, specially if you are more into Gothic books than Horror (as I am.) The atmosphere was magnificent - I simply love Charleston - the language was luscious and very Southern, the love interest and sexual tension were hot as hell, the narration was perfect, and the plot/pacing were extremely well done. This ARC from Netgalley was an amazing book. It kept me guessing and sent chills down my spine. The Restorer was a compelling book that captured my attention right away and held it throughout the story. Although I couldn't wait to see how the book turned out, I was sorry to see it end. The theme of historical cemeteries and cemetery restoration was very interesting. This is the type of book I love to hate. There is a lot in here that is just dumb drivel. I do not need to hear how the dark mysterious handsome gentleman is so mysterious every few pages. Or handsome. Or speaks with a Southern drawl. Really. I got it. The first time. But I kept wanting to find out the ending so I kept reading...furiously.
