Much, MUCH better than expected. I was not interested in reading any books with Paige as the narrator, as I could not stand her in Stolen. She drove me nuts. All other characters, sure. Even Leah! But not Paige.
The only reason I gave in was because I'd read all the Elena novels, and was still craving more Armstrong. She's very addictive. I read a different novel by another author and it didn't interest me at all. I just wanted another Kelley hit.

The first book I read by this author was about a female werewolf. That was pretty exciting to me since there aren't a lot of werewolf books, especially ones about females. This one didn't have that thrill because there are lots of books about witches, but I still really liked it. I find it quite fun to read about all that otherworld stuff, and Kelley Armstrong does a good job writing it.

The third in the Women of the Underworld series, this book moves from Elena to Paige, a witch and Coven leader in twenties who has taken on the responsibility of looking after Savannah after her mother Eve was kidnapped and killed by one of the Cabals. Although Paige is not as strong a character as Elena she still has the same kick ass, will-not-lie-down-and-take-it attitude that dominates this series.
