Lestat is such a fascinating character, full of contradictions and complexity, and this book, with Lestat becoming trapped in a mortal body, reveals him in more depth than before.
A really enjoyable read (a one-dayer!).

Another brilliant addition to the Vampire Chronicles, this book is well written and creative and follows the same Gothic horror vain as Rice's previous work. I found the role of Lestat as a victim somewhat entertaining and a refreshing change although by the end of the book he's back to his old selfish ways, typical Lestat...
